  • 1 green pepper, diced
  • 1 yellow onion, diced
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 lb cooked chicken, shredded I used the meat from cooking a whole chicken except breast meat I reserved for another meal. I got about 2.5 cups of shredded chicken.
  • 12 oz frozen mixed vegetables
  • 3 cups milk
  • 2.5 cups water
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 3 tsp better than boullion chicken boullion


  • Cook chicken, shred or chop and set aside.
  • In a large pot saute' onion and green pepper in butter until tender.
  • Turn down heat and blend in flour, and pepper. Stir until mixture is bubbly.
  • Stir in water, milk and bouillion. Boil & stir one minute. Turn down heat.
  • Add chicken and mixed vegetables. Cook on medium low until heated through.
