Time is sure flying by this summer!
Caleb & I also made Daddy a special Father’s Day card with Caleb’s handprints and his autograph. After dinner Daddy wanted to go out for a special treat so we stopped in at Aloha Yogurt and it was delicious! It really tastes like ice cream, not yogurt. Especially with all the toppings. We both had variations with chocolate and peanut butter. Yum!
July we celebrated my birthday. My husband surprised me by taking me to Arizona Grand Resort & Spa the Wednesday night before my birthday. Not only were we staying at a beautiful resort for the night, but my sweet husband got the spa package so I could be pampered on my birthday! We stopped and tried out Pita Bistro down the street from our church before service since I had mentioned that awhile back. After church we stayed to fellowship since my husband took the next day off to spend the day with me. It was so nice! It was absolutely gorgeous at the resort. So lush and green with mature trees, plants and flowers.
The room was very beautiful and the bed was so comfortable I slept like a rock. I don’t think I moved an inch all night. After breakfast we went for a morning swim with the pool completely to ourselves. Caleb had fun trying to catch a bunny while we were out exploring. Then I had a wonderful massage. Afterwards we met up for lunch at the Lobby Grill. Then it was time for my pedicure and manicure. It was so luxurious all this pampering! Caleb was having fun with Daddy all to himself while I was getting spa treatments. By then it was check out time so we went to the mall to shop for a couple things. To top off an already awesome day my husband took me to my favorite restaurant, The Keg Steakhouse for my birthday dinner – bacon wrapped filet mignon! After all this pampering and eating I was ready for another good night’s sleep. It was so awesome being princess for a day!
This was a kid’s pizza!
Even though my husband really goes all out for special occasions, my husband treats me well all the time. He is so caring and is really in tune with me. Just this last week I was struggling with some day to day life things and I finally just talked to him about them. Usually I try to not to bother my husband with trivial things. Though I was so upset about repeated problems with our local grocery store and library & other small town issues that I was ready to sell our house and move back into town so I figured I’d better tell him. Haha! He literally solved every problem I was having in a very strong and loving way. He’s just so chill about things and an excellent problem solver. Here I was freaking out about a handful of things and he just talked me right through all of them with ease in about 20 minutes time. I was so impressed and completely relieved at the same time. I’m so blessed to be married to this amazing man! He’s my hero!
Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honour unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered. 1 Peter 3:7
Aww, what a sweet post! Happy birthday! I love the Grand! I'm so happy you had a lovely time on your special day.
Caleb's pizza is massive!!
Thank you!
Yes we joked that we could’ve just ordered the kids pizza and ate that for lunch had we known it was going to be that big! Haha!
