Caleb and I have been doing one of her recommendations for littles called Letter of the Week. It is a great free online resource for baby through age 11. It has reading lists for books, coloring pages, activities and a learning poster idea for the weekly theme. We were already reading daily from the One Year Bible and other books from the library. Adding this fun curriculum has helped me immensely with ideas as a 1st time mom. Since he is young I do not push him on anything in the curriculum and if he doesn’t want to do an activity or read at that time then we don’t. We do it later and try to make it fun. We do however have Bible time daily as that is the most important thing he can be learning and it is good practice for church as he learns to sit quietly. Caleb really likes reading all the books and loves his learning poster. As you can see I hung it at his level and that first week he was so excited about that. The little activities help keep him busy. We add some as we go along.

Caleb and I started this 18 weeks ago when I realized we were not interacting enough and maybe starting a fun little curriculum like this would encourage him to start talking. Here are a few weeks of his learning posters to give you an idea. One of our favorites not shown here was train week and we took out his Lionel Train Set Grandma & Grandpa got him for the week. He loved it!
