Vanilla Ice Cream with Toppings

The pregnancy cravings for ice cream are a real struggle! Especially since the temperature is starting to warm up. Last week for our date night we made vanilla ice cream and topped with an assortment of toppings. It was fun and delicious!

Homemade Vanilla Ice Cream

Prep Time5 mins
Total Time35 mins
Course: Dessert
Cuisine: American

Ingredients

  • 1 cup milk
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 2 tsp vanilla

Instructions

  • Whisk together milk and sugar. Add heavy cream & vanilla and whisk until combined. Pour into frozen ice cream insert. Put insert in machine and mix for 30 minutes.
Add toppings of your choice! We used chocolate syrup, sliced walnuts, coconut, assorted wafers and chocolate chips. Enjoy!

Notes

For this recipe you will need an ice cream maker. You will need to plan ahead and freeze the ice cream insert the day before you want to use it. Or just keep the insert in the freezer for yummy ice cream anytime!

Below is the ice cream maker I use, just the newer model.
