Gasp! Mrs. Zsuzsanna Anderson from ARE THEY ALL YOURS?!?? is putting out a cookbook! And, double gasp! I’m one of her lucky editors! I was so excited to get this opportunity! Oh how I love trying new recipes. And recipes from such an amazing chef and good friend. And happy dance-the shopping list is included! This cookbook is like a dream, seriously don’t pinch me- it’s just way too good!

Mrs. Anderson’s cookbook, Busy Family Menu Planning, is FABULOUS! “Menu planning by a mom of 10 to help you make delicious, nutritious meals your family will love-without losing your mind.” This meal plan covers 10 weeks of meals! Imagine not planning your meals or shopping lists for 10 whole weeks! Awesome! For each week there are 5 Breakfasts, 5 Dinners, & 1 Dessert. The recipes & shopping lists for each week are all included! The meal plan for each week is completely flexible to cook recipes on any day of the week you like and you can use your leftovers for lunch. There is also a Basics section that includes sides, breads and condiments recipes. Wow! What more could you ask for??

When I first started at Faithful Word Baptist Church almost 13 years ago I was not a big fan of cooking in general. In fact, I didn’t make much of anything from scratch, and used a lot of boxed and processed foods. In the early days of FWBC, Mrs. Anderson would invite me over for a visit, for dinner or to help out with a church function. She would show me how I could help out putting the recipes together. Many of them I loved and would often ask for the recipes. It was then that I wanted to become a better cook and eat more healthy foods. She really inspired me to try new things and I really cherish those times I spent with her. Now my favorite place to be is in the kitchen!

Years later Mrs. Anderson was working on a cookbook and I just could not wait to get my hands on it! Unfortunately Mrs. Anderson’s computer crashed and the cookbook was gone! Ugh! Poor Mrs. Anderson! How sickened she must have felt! And poor me too, no cookbook for me either. And now the wait is almost over! Mrs. Anderson is coming close to completion and is in the editing stage.

My editing assignment is Week 4 and I’m having a ball! We went shopping for all the ingredients using the easy to read & navigate Shopping List. The organization of the list is by category, much like I write out my shopping lists so it made shopping a breeze! We’ve already tried the Taco Pasta, Banana Bread Pancakes, and Pot Roast and they have all been very easy to prepare and absolutely delicious! My 2 1/2 year old son Caleb was making Mmm Mmm Mmmm sounds through the whole meal the night we had the Taco Pasta. It was hilarious!

If you are looking for a healthy, whole foods meal plan and cookbook complete with the shopping list, THIS is the one! I absolutely cannot wait to try the rest of these recipes this week and FINALLY get my hands on the completed cookbook! I will let you know as soon as it is available!

In other exciting news, we are working on a new site this week! I’m hoping to have it rolled out by next week. The new site will be a fresh & better looking site so stay tuned for that as well!

It will be a busy week working on these yum recipes and on the new site so please excuse me if I’m a little MIA on posts this week! 😉

In the meantime, you’ll have to try Mrs. Anderson’s Chocolate Walnut Sheet Cake!
