The month of May is, of course, when we celebrate Mother’s Day. And it’s also our wedding anniversary month. So I feel like I get spoiled the whole month! My husband is just the sweetest man ever.
It’s still sometimes hard to believe that I am a mom now & get to celebrate motherhood on this special day. Having Caleb has been the most amazing & precious thing that’s ever happened to me. He is such a joy & a blessing. For Mother’s Day my husband gave me the sweetest card & treated me to some kitchen items I have really been wanting. He even let me order them early. Ha! On Mother’s Day we took my mom out to eat at one of her favorite places. My thoughtful husband gifted both of us Starbucks gift cards so we went out for coffee afterwards. I love hanging out with my mom. My husband and Caleb crack me up how they play together. And it makes me so happy that my mom absolutely loves my husband. It was such a nice time.
We had a wonderful couple of days together for our anniversary celebration. My husband took the day off and we spent the day together. I made him chocolate waffles and strawberries with whipped cream for breakfast and one of his favorites, BBQ Pork Ribs with sides for dinner. He gave me a really charming and from the heart card & another Starbucks card. Yes!! He really does love me!! Haha! And then we went shopping for some new towels I have been really wanting to replace. The next day he took me to my absolute favorite restaurant, the Keg Steakhouse for dinner before church. My husband spoils me with filet mignon, this man sure knows how to make me happy!
I’m so thankful to have my loving husband. He is so good to me all the time, though he really goes out of his way to make things nice for me around holidays. This man is my best friend and my most valued relationship this side of heaven.
