April Recap: Family Time & Ladies Tea

April was a really fun month. We visited with family. There is just something special about getting to spend extra time with family. Which included our little family of my husband & Caleb, plus Aunt Crissie, Granny and Grandma & Grandpa.

My mom, who we call Gammy or Granny, came to visit us with my sister, Aunt Crissie. We had a really nice time together.

These 2 ladies are so dear to my heart. And Caleb always has so much fun with them. They can make Caleb just bust a gut with their silliness. As you can see in the photo with my squinty face, they bring out the silly in me too. It is just delightful to watch them all together.

Later in the month we went to Grandma & Grandpa’s, Jimmy’s parents in Maryland. I feel so blessed to have in laws that really care about me. They are just the sweetest people. So thoughtful & generous. So fun & loving. We had a great time together. I’m always trying to talk them into moving to Arizona to be with us. Hopefully someday I’ll be successful at getting them here to stay. And it was awesome to spend some extra time with my sweet husband while we were on vacation. I’m so blessed to be married to this man. He truly spoils me in so many ways.

Poor Caleb caught a bad cold at the end of the trip and we passed it back & forth a couple times after we got home. It took a little longer than usual to get back in the swing of things.

Thankfully I was better in time to make it to our church’s annual Mother Daughter Tea. I missed my Mom being there with me but it was a great time. Our group is so big now that it takes 2 events so all the ladies can participate that would like to. This year I signed up for the first group, which went at the end of April. It was such a wonderful time!

Our church is so incredibly generous in so many areas. They do so many wonderful things for us. Many churches charge for their events. Not ours. Not a dime. Not ever. Such a blessing to be part of this church! The ladies at our church are such a joyful and fun bunch of ladies. I’m so thankful for them and just love being with them!

Stay tuned for upcoming posts on my husband’s recent missions trip to Belize, Mothers Day, our Anniversary and the 1st FWBC Postpartum Pals Appreciation Party. I realize I’m WAY behind on my blogging so I’ll work on getting you all up to speed in the next couple weeks.
